Coastal Towny — Installation Guide

Follow these step-by-step instructions to install and configure Coastal Towny on your Minecraft server.

Prerequisites

Before you begin: Ensure your server meets these requirements for optimal performance.
  • Minecraft Server: Spigot/Paper 26.2
  • Required Plugins: None — Citizens and TAB functionality are handled by our custom built-in plugin!
  • Optional Plugins: ViaVersion, ViaBackwards
  • Server RAM: Minimum 6GB (8GB+ recommended for 20+ players)
  • World: Fresh world or existing with available space for structures
  • Resource Pack: Not required — this setup does not use a custom resource pack

Required Dependencies

No external plugins required! Citizens and TAB functionality are handled by our custom built-in plugin. All plugins are included in the setup.

Download Required Files

Download the Coastal Towny setup package and extract all files.

Simple Setup: Just drag and drop the setup files into your server container.

Extract & Upload Files

Extract the setup package and upload all files to your server. No external plugin downloads are needed — everything is included!

Rebranding

Customize the setup for your server by updating configuration files with your server's information.

Important: Update these files with your server name, Discord link, and store URLs to complete the setup.

Essential Configuration
  • /plugins/Essentials/motd.txt - Server Name, Discord, Forums & Store URL
  • /plugins/dMOTD/config.yml - Server Name
  • /plugins/dMOTD/server-icon.png - Replace with 64x64px server icon
  • /plugins/TAB/config.yml - Server Name, IP, Store URL

  • /plugins/ExcellentCrates/previews/ - Store URL
  • plugins/DecentHolograms/holograms/PointsInformation.yml - Store URL
